Join us for a day of slam dunks, three-pointers, and inclusive fun at SBA's Autumn Slam Dunk - Inclusivity in Motion event on April 23, 2024. This event is open to people aged 12 to 24 with disabilities, and is not just a game – it's a celebration of diversity, sportsmanship, and the power of inclusivity. The session is 2 hours of on-court, with drills, games and fun to introduce the sport of Basketball, followed by a light lunch. IMPORTANT When purchasing tickets, in the 'Details' section, please include any dietary requirements and/or details of your disability that will help coaches tailor the program to you, including if you will have a support worker attend and participate on the day.

SBA is running two referee clinics, suitable for everyone from beginner to senior! New & Developing Referees This clinic is open to current green shirt referees and those looking to become a greenshirt! SBA Senior duty referees are also encouraged to attend this session ahead of next season! She Hoops brings, Lauren Jackson to Shoalhaven!! She Hoops is a Basketball Australia initiative that aims to empower women and girls in basketball to pursue careers in sport, as athletes, coaches, officials and administrators. Their mission is to engage (excite), connect (belong) and empower (educate) women and girls to fearlessly define their legacy in and through basketball. SBA are partnering with She Hoops Australia to provide you with a 3-hour Girls-Only skills clinic, that encompasses the She Hoops mission & will be delivered to you by none other than Lauren Jackson herself! Super 6 Skills Covered: Passing: Unlock the secrets to precision and creativity in your passes, ensuring your ability to find your teammates. Shooting: Master the art of shooting with precision, power, and consistency, transforming your scoring abilities. Ball Handling: Enhance your control and agility with the ball, making you a formidable force on the court. 1v1 Defense: Learn defensive strategies and techniques to shut down opponents. Footwork: Develop impeccable footwork that will give you the edge in maneuvering around the opposition. Decision Making: Sharpen your on-the-spot decision-making skills, empowering you to make the right choices under pressure Please note, that the player session is only open to SBA U14 Rep Players. 

Illawarra Hawks have offered the teams participating in the 2024 Barrengarry Competition the opportunity to attend the Hawks V Bullets game on the 3 February at the WIN Sports Centre, as well as a pre-game meet-the-team experience.  The experience will see the doors open to the teams earlier than the public, bringing them to the court for a photo and signature opportunity with the players that are warming up and present in the venue, to then head to your seats for the game tip-off.  This opportunity is for Barrengarry players and their families. If you would like to attend, please purchase a ticket for each family member attending the game (Including the BG Player).     Tickets must be purchased by 9 am on 25 January 2024. 

WE LOVE BASKETBALL! Bring your family and friends and join us to watch round two of the Spalding Waratah Under 20's Tournament. Though SBA doesn't have a team in the competition, we are strong supporters of developing this age group across Australia and we hope to have our team in the coming years.  We hope you will join us in enjoying some high-quality basketball here at our home ground. LETS CELEBRATE! The contribution our team of referees has made this year has been astonishing! We could not have domestic competitions or rep teams without you. Whether you've picked up a whistle for the first time this year or are climbing the ranks we appreciate and are proud of every one one you!  Thank you to the parents and families for enabling our referees! From ensuring everyone is rostered correctly to pick up/drop offs and waiting around the stadium for hours or lending your loved ones to us for hours each week, we know appreciate the ongoing support you give to our referees and SBA.
